hi all ,newbie here ,,
i have had my 156 for over two months now,,i seem to have a battery drain,i have traced it to the fuses 6&7 side lights etc
i know all lights are working ok
any suggestions,anyone had same problems?

What stereo do you have - I had the face-off one that was standard...and found that if I left the face in it could drain the battery...never found out why. That was on a 2001 car...

yeah sorted the sterio first,,i rewired the live so it switches on and off with the ignition,,i read in some other posts that its a possible short on the rev counter or something,,,when i remove fuses 6 and 7 under the steering coloum box the drain dissapears,,ive got the ammeter in series with the battery,,,,god knows

Is your bulb out warning on ?

If so check your drivers side rear tail light and see if its glowing faintly even with ignition off ( in the dark probably best ) - if so you need a new rev counter

sorted,,removed bezal and removed speedo,,cleared the battery drain completly,,
just picked up a speedo from a 1.6 t spark at local breakers yard and popped it in 20 mins ago
completly cleared the fault excellent time for a beer i thinks thanks all
