I've got a 1.8 51 plate 156 S/W. Last year I had a problem with the car not starting due to a flat battery that kept going flat, but just at random moments, it would start when jump started. I was advised to get a new battery which I did. Recently I had the same problem once and has since been okay, well it has happened again but this time it will not fire up. I am jumping it of my van but if I crank the car for too long the battery seems to go flat as I'm trying. The fuel light was on but I'm not sure how long it has been on for as this is my wifes car and she can't remember, I got some more petrol and now the light has gone out but it will still not start, just crank over. I would be really grateful for any advice please
