I will be there for the cape argus next march or at least that is the plan.

I will tell you how small the world is Rush - I live 15 minutes from Merthyr, its just outside Cardiff as well
Talk about a small world. Let me know when you're in CPT then we can hook up

Will do but good to see a few Alfa's running around there.

Were the cars on the track outside CPT (Kylani) bad spelling
Being a member of the Cape Alfa Romeo Club, i can tell you that there's a lot of passionate Alfisti out here. Last year April was the Alfa Romeo National Convention and it was held in JHB. There has been a great turnout from all the different provinces. It was just great to see a whole bunch of people sharing the same passion and interests.
The pictures were taken last year at Killarney race track for the S.A Maxpower Magazine.

That was it - my spelling was very poor there.

Went past it a few times on my way out to the Bloubergstrand area.

Its on the edge of a big industrial park (Not paarden island) more toward milner town - is it right that they are building a new circuit on the N road between the airport and somerset west west for a 2011 F1 race.

My mate was on about a street race around sea point area but I could not see how that would work

You're spot-on, Killarney race track is just down the road from Milnerton and Bloubergstrand/Table View.
There were rumours about an F1 track being built close to the airport.....haven't heard anything about it again.
There's a lot of illegal street races happening in CPT. I've never heard of Sea Point being one of them. Beach Rd and Main Rd in Sea point is way too congested.......you know the roads there.

It was rife over here regarding the track by the airport and still is a possibility as far as I know.

My mate was on about it in Sea point / green point / beach road but I could not see how they would get much of a track there - just a couple of straights with 4 left handers - nice views of a race though from the apartments on beach road.

LOVELY 155 and GTV:thumbs:

What are the wheels on the gtv they look really:cool: ;)
Thanks, i noticed you have a 155.......is it a 2.0TS or a 2.5 V6 ?
The wheels on my GTV are 19" BBS CH / Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale.

Trouble i sthey would be sprinting away and leaving the car jacked up - not much of a race after 20 laps.

My mates daughter had her car nicked from outside her apartment a little while back and they have suffered a few smash n grabs through the window.

Sorry to hear that. As you well know, CPT is such a beautiful place to live in, the only real problem is the crime rate

I love CPT and have had quite a few job offers to go back but I cant due to family reasons.

The crime rate does need to be sorted or the major industry of tourisum will fall away - when you mention RSA to people over here they immediatly say wouldnt go there to much crime.

My parents came over to visit and love the place - they cant wait to go back.

I couldn't agree with you more, the S.A government should take more drastic steps to put a stop to the alarming crime rate. I know this has a negative effect on our tourism. With all of this in mind, CPT still attracts a lot of tourists over the Festive season (December/January).

It certainly does but how many are from Jo'berg etc.

Its overseas tourisum that you need to bring in the money, the main issue is the cost of getting there - pretty goood when you are there but airfares are ÂŁ650+ which is a hell of a lot when you can go to spain for two all inclusive for that sort of money.

I'm sure that they will eventually get a grip on the crime rate but it is going to take time
