Hi everyone.

Ian (your admin) has asked us to help his members get the best deals on their Alfa Romeo insurances, however I am not here to do quotes or make sales, you should dial your club quote line for that. Ian has had many emails recently from members asking different insurance questions, I'm here to answer these for him but for today, just a short introduction.

My name is Daniel. I've worked for Adrian Flux Insurance for nearly 18 years. If any members at alfaowner have any general insurance queries or specific problems with Adrian Flux insurance post them in this lounge by opening your own thread. I can assure you I will be completely impartial despite being on the pay roll of Adrian Flux.

If we have messed up in any way and occasionaly we may, I want to know about it, I will also acknowledge and make great efforts to get it corrected, if any anyone does not understand an insurers viewpoint I will also do my best to clearly explain it.

There could be problems ranging from simple paperwork issues to major claim disputes. With my years of experience I should be able to answer most queries immediately and right here on Alfaowner, if there are issues or any problems that I can't answer directly I would ensure that a relevant manager investigates these and I would then be able to relay an answer back to you all, in public.

I hope this new lounge will be of some help to you.

Thanks very much.

Daniel Clark

Hiya.
I apologise if the operator flately refused to quote. Our staff will take basic details before proceeding with a full quotation especially for a 17 year old driver on a fairly high group car as you can probably appreciate the vast majority of people wouldn't be prepared to pay over £4K (based on a King's Lynn postcode area) for car insurance so in most cases there is little point for either party to proceed for a full quotation.
As a company we give upto 15% discount for any member of this club.
Thanks.

I recommend Adrian Flux Insurance and have both my MGB and Spider insured through them.

When I purchased the Spider, I wanted to insure it with the company that supports the AROC, but their cover would not cover me for the 'occasional' commute to work, even with a limited mileage policy.
Anyway, Adrian Flux turned out to be the most competitive of all the companies that I contacted and although I have limited mileage policies on both cars, I am covered if I commute to work.

Hi all, thanks for using this lounge, but remember to open your own threads if you have questions etc... Otherwise we will have another 60+ pages or mumble jumble / really hard to read material for newbies to follow.

The idea is more of an FAQ so others can see problems that interest them and answers just a few posts down. ;)

Thanks again

Gavin, please call the number in Dans or my signature to get your member discounted quote, Dan is forbidden like everyone else here to do sales.
