Hi Lads and Lasses,

Had a few issues with activating my account but hopefully I am now in for the long term in terms of AR ownership, especially as I got my hands on a 156 GTA a few weeks ago.:)

Ive owned a few tasty cars over the years (Jags, BMWs etc) and some pretty quick ones as well, e.g. Jag S Type R, XJR etc but I am smitten already with the GTA and now want to underatke a rolling resto on the car.

It needs a few bits of bodywork attending to, arches and bit of blistered paintwork, but then I would like to attend to a number of mechanicals, namely, brakes, timing belt, exhaust, induction etc etc etc.....the list could go on but I suspect the sages amongst you will say take your time and do the work over a period of time. I really want to enjoy the GTA and as such I am willing to do exactly that, i.e take m time to do the things that need doing.

Can anyone recommend a AR specialist near me? Im in Manchester and I understand there are a few to choose from.

Will start posting on the GTA forum but just wanted to say hello and hope to enjoy the oodles of info you guys have.

Hi and welcome to the forums! Congratulations on getting the GTA.. Awesome car.
Maybe it's easier to get help if you start a thread in the apropriate board about your new GTA. Take good care of it and have fun.

...hope to post some pics asap....cant wait to get the jobs done on the car. I know it will be a labour of love and will probably never see the money again in terms of what the jobs will cost...but, hey, it looks like the GTAs as a breed are pretty rare low volume sport cars and so any money that goes into the car will be for enjoyment...and you cant always put a price on that!!!
