Hi

Im Lee and Im an alcoholic and Alfa 156 2.0 JTS Turismo owner on a 52 plate. Had it for about a year now.

Had loads of problems when I first owned, visited the garage 7 times in he first two months but finally got the problem sorted.

Im from Leicestershire. erm running out of things to say now except keep up the reasonable level of work Alfa (good wasnt the word to use) and heres to a few more Alfas in years to come.

Just as a discussion do we think Alfa should ever make a 4x4 again, everyone said Porsche would never do it and look where they are now.

thanks

Lee.

Welcome Lee, interesting choice or forum name :p

Alfa nearly made an SUV recently, you may be aware, called the Kamal. Funny looking beasty and only a pale immitation of the only true Alfa SUV

The forum name comes from being a lcfc fan for my sins. could quite easily have been fcuksheep or fcuktrees.

I seem to remember a concept recently that was quite ugly. The cayenne seems to be keeping porsche ticking over nicely and keeping the cash flowing, something which I reckon Alfa could do with. ;)

would this be it!!

Welcome to AO, Lee :)

From a business perspective, it might make sense for Alfa Romeo to jump on the SUV bandwagon - it seems to have worked for Porsche, Volvo, BMW etc etc.

However, I am sure there will soon be an "urban 4x4" backlash that will spell the end of that particular bane of our lives (I wish, I wish..... ).

Hi Lee - Welcome to AO.

I'm based in UAE where virtually every other car on the road is a 4x4 / SUV of some sort, and any new models or types in that category introduced here tend to attract buyers in droves. Also as Alfa's are fairly popular (generally being regarded as "special" & "dead sexy") I reckon the Kamal would have been a huge success.

When the local Alfa dealership cautiously decided earlier this year to bring in four 147 GTA's just to check the response, all 4 were sold within 2 months of shipping without any form of advertising, and I just happened to call them on spec just in time to get the last one. They immediately tried to order a few more but sadly they are no longer available. By the same token a stylish Alfa 4X4 SUV would be irresistable and would sell in substantial numbers.
