So last week the blower fan stopped working, totally dead on all speed settings. Fuses were ok, I thought maybe its a resistor or something else but didn't want to go down the road of checking all that stuff without checking the actual fan, so I decided to take the fan out. For those that don't know it's located behind the glove box (no need to take out the glove box, just lie on your back with your head at the bottom of the passenger foot well). One screw to un-do then a small twist of the fan unit and it drops out. There was a small leaf stuck inside it which I took out and then tried the fan and it spun up instantly!
Just posting this in case it helps anyone else having the same issue.

Under the scuttle panel on the side of the heater motor there is plastic shield that is supposed to stop debris getting into this motor, Mine was not secure, it is now as i silicone it in, Its secure now and will not move, Worth checking it has one and its secure in its correct position
