Red 116 gtv6 advertised for R49500 when it was R36500 a month ago.
Red 916 gtv advertised for R120k here Autotrader.co.za and here for R69999 Autotrader.co.za . Moving the car from Wynberg to Goodwood cost R50000:wow:?

Aaahahahaha, I think ALL Alfisti do this!I like to look at Gumtree and Junkmail as they show how many times an ad was viewed!So when you see a GTA the views will be in the hundreds!

True, I phoned the one chap on Gumtree the following day after he placed the add on that evening. He told me that he had three phone calls that evening and he put the add on at nine o'clock :wow:

I went to see that red GTV in June when it was still R85K and told them I'd not pay R70K for it. It's very rough and deffinitely not worth R120K. The bodywork looked good but the interior is a bit messed up.

Seems like the one dealer valued your opinion, Ian. Wonder how the price goes from R70k to R120k, though. Do you think it has something to do with exchange rate movements or import duties between the southern and northern suburbs? Maybe a major service by a bona fide Italian which I believe is R13k and up on a v6, full interior change perhaps?
Still can't tell what justifies a R50k premium?

Hi El, I've also noticed this, especialy on the 116. But, if you look at the other 116 GTV on the web and the price it's going for, you have to wonder, coincidence? I think not.
People/dealers realise what the car is worth, or rather what they could potentially get it for and this is what they do.

Strange is that the car didn't sell at the previous price and then you push the price up even more. The other GTV has also been on the interwebs for a very long time for the same price.

LOL, this ou must have watched Autotrader on Ignition, how they take a car that can't "shift"/sell and then chnage some things here and there, clean it and then sell it off for more money, but not R59k more lol
