Hi,
I recently had to changed my offside headlight bulb after the old one blow.

It was a ***** of a job to unclip the old one and get the new one clipped back in place.

Unfortunately, I've noticed the headline is now very badly adjusted - its like it's on full beam.

Is it normal to have to manually readjust the headlights after replacing the bulb, or do you think I've just not got it in straight. I'm a bit reluctant to take the bulb out and try again unless necessary, since it took me ages and cost a fair bit of knuckle skin last time!!

PS - car is a 2005 Alfa 156 2.4 JTDm

Thanks

Chris

You may have put the bulb in upside-down OR the previous person put it upside-down and adjusted to suit and you put it the right way.

Either way, it needs the back off to check.

You shouldn't normally have to adjust the headlight.

I managed to put a bulb in upside-down before and it had the same effect you described. I recommend you take the bulb out and check the seating tab is in the correct way - don't worry it gets easier when you have done it before.
