If so please can you post it here asap? Just about to go and do it :confused: (yes I have the special tools!)

cant seem to download the manual

Alfa Romeo Cam Belt Replacement on 1.6l and 1.8l TS engines

It's pretty good, but do you really have All the special tools?

DTI and holder,
Cam Locks,
Pulley holder,
Variator tool,
Ribe bits,
Hex bits,
18mm socket,
13mm spanner,
15mm spanner,
17mm spanner,
19mm socket,
10mm socket,
Associated ratchet handles and extensions,
Strong vice,
17mm plug socket,
Torque wrench 0-40Nm,
Philips #2 screwdriver,
Liquid gasket.

If not then I'm near Swindon (on your side).

Yes I do now! had several trips to tool shops but still cheaper than getting it done by a garage, didn't manage to finish it tho, A bit more adjustment tomorrow and sorted.

Would I do it myself again?....No! pain in the backside but got the main bits done today.

Ahh well when I say I, I actually mean my other half and his friend who's a mechanic (I made the coffee's!). Yes I think they have, but who ever changed it last time didn't mark it up properly or have it aligned :eek: . So why it hasn't gone badly wrong before I don't know, it took them hours trying to sort it. Hopefully it wont take too long tomorrow!

I only got the car last week, the belt itself looked OK but the rest of the kit wasn't.

Lol so am I! Glad I'm not the one doing it, I wish I just took it to a garage but trying to save pennies for the wedding :cry:
