Hello. My name's Scott and I picked up my 52 reg'd 147 2.0 Lusso a week and a half ago. To say I'm chuffed is like saying Lance Armstrong rides bikes about a bit. I've had a few nice cars in the past, but lately I'd kind of gone off the rails, picking practical, dull cars for practical, dull, purposes. When a girl rammed me in my last motor, forcing me into the path of an oncoming BMW and pretty much destroying my car, I jumped at the chance to fulfil a long-forgotten dream of buying an Alfa. When I got out of one after a test drive, with my cheeks (on my face :tut: ) hurting from grinning so much, my mind was made up......

I'm glad to say I managed to get some pics of the beast last weekend, after it had it's first coat of Glym (I'm a bit of a car polishing fetishist ), just before it started raining...grrrr. I love it to bits. I love the handling, the performance, the shape, the sound, everything apart from the rearward visibility, which is apalling, but who needs to see backwards anyway.

lovely car! the 2.0 black 147 is always what i wanted but never had. :rant:

i somehow think the red leather job cannot blend in with the black interior. especially the armrests.........maybe its just me :lol: :lol:

What is the polish your used? Auto Glym?

I use that on Alfenia, it really makes her look good.

Yeah, I've not got used to parking it yet, I keep ramming those bollards ;-)


Yep I use Auto Glym, I've tried just about everything on the market and think it's best for black cars, though I've got shelves full of other stuff that work better than Glym on other things.
