I was thinking of getting the 17" wheels on my GTV aero refurbished.

As they're in for refurbishing I was wondering how they would look in a slightly darker colour than the std silver. I wouldn't go much darker - but just a bit. I thought it might look pretty good with the dark Vela blue bodywork.

What are peoples thoughts on slightly-darker-than-normal alloys or does anyone have any pics?

With Vella i think they would look spot on.

Clive has a nice GTV with the darker colour, the whole car is for sale. they are the teledials too.

I think 'Wayne-dear' has got dark rims on his vela? GTV. Ill just have a check..........

Yes, I know a place that can do them for £100 (inc vat) per set and I've used them before so I know they're ok.

I've also done wheels myself in the past just using lots of wet and dry and spray cans. Or I know of a very good spray shop were I could take the wheels ready-prepped and they could do any colour I like. I'd just need the paint code. He has indeed mate (its Atollo Blue) i think they fit perfect with darkish blue cars.
Even better though, get my V6 back on Weekend

Speak of the devil. Excellent time to pop up there mate. I was thinking i didnt think it was quite as dark as 'vela' but couldnt remember properly. I do like them dark wheels on yours, suit it nicely.
Top banana on getting your V6 back this weekend then :thumbs:

I wont only do it if the GTV was vela blue, black or gunmetal gray.

I think it looks good.
