IMO the TS is a better engine.

It revs cleaner, sounds better and is more powerful.

The vast majority of JTS engine put out well below the quoted figure of 165bhp.

I haven't owned one, I was put off after driving one.

I very nearly bought a JTS 156 (pre facelift) on one occasion and I was very unimpressed.

Maybe it was that particular car though.
I have always thought that it was the early JTS engined cars that were down on power.

Mine pulls like a train.

IMO the 2 litre TS is one of the best in-line 4 cylinder engines ever to have been made. From a drivers perspective anyway, and especially when fitted to a 145 Cloverleaf.

Never driven a 2.0 JTS but i've also heard stories about earlier engines being pretty sluggish.
