I'm replacing pretty much every component of my rear and front suspension. Rear parts have been OK to source and yet front 'rubber/pu' items haven't. With regard to front bump stops, oe product numbers are 60628906, priced in the region of £45 - 50, however 60598909's are also listed and are available for a lot less - so are these suitable for a ts?

They look like it, Shop4Parts have them on special order. I just used Merc B Class ones, which are £15 for the pair

when I bought mine the 916 ones were unavailable so I ended up with 936 (159/spider) ones and they fit perfectly

Thank you for your recommendations and alternate suggestions. I've decided to stick with o.e and have ordered the bump stop/gaitor package using the ricambi link, based in Germany, provided by samirrr, which at current exchange rates, including delivery comes in at £95. Steep I know, but UK suppliers were similarly priced for just the bump stops.

I wonder why the alternative part number is much cheaper when they look pretty much identical?
Who would knew as long as they do the job right…
