Hello Folks,

HRW not working !

Light on dash comes on but window stays misty.

I have contacted Auto Lusso and they reckon the fuse box itself needs replacing !

Any thoughts on this ?

Be careful of it Roy! it is well known for setting GTV's on fire. There is a mod designed by a member here just seach Rear Window Demister.

you are not on your own! - take a look in the GTV Spider know issue section for a diagnostic and fix

Then get the bits and get it fixed!

It's a bit fiddly, but an inexpensive and quite rewarding fix to do. Takes about half an hour (quicker if you're small enough to actually climb in to the boot)
Make a note of the bits needed, then a trip to Maplin is in order. (Have the beer on standby)

If everything is still connected could be developing a high resistance connection in the fusebox.. the fusebox may well be getting hot when the de-mister is switched on.. There is a risk of fire..

Check it now.. Do not switch the de-mister on until it's checked /sorted..
