Hi,my GTV JTS has eaten a piston. Please could someone confirm I can remove head whilst engine is in car, 2 days into the strip I have barely scratched surface. a method/sequence or where I can get workshop manual would be great. For starters how the chuff do you get the air con pump off from the lsge aluminium mount bracket. Cheers Sam

I'd imagine you can (you can on the TS anyway), but if it's 'eaten' the piston, you probably need to change the block anyway, so why not just pull the whole lot out?

You'll have to remove the sump to get access to the con rod nuts
