My GTV is making awful grating noises when pulling away in first gear, it also has a gear oil leak where the bell housing meets the clutch. I have been informed it is best to replace the gearbox as soon as possible but it is proving difficult to source a reconditioned or new gearbox. Has anyone had this gearbox problem?. Can anyone point me in the direction of someone, apart from main dealers, where I can get a reconditioned or new gearbox?

possibly autolusso, they are in edlesborough (near dunstable) so it's a bit of a drive. just google autolusso and you will find them. Ned is the guy you need to talk to i think. hope this helps.
