Anyone know why Alfa decided to use Multi point injection on the 147 GTV adn the GT V6. Both the Brera and Spider have direct injection, surely they would ahev gained more power/poss MPG by doing so. The 2.0L JTS has direct injection? Weird:confused:

Not "weird" at all.

Alfa didn't "decide" to use std multipoint injection on the old V6, it was the only option available at the time. Remember the 3.2 was just a slightly larger capacity version of the 3.0 so didn't cost much to develop.
There was no point developing a direct injection version of the old V6.
The 3.2V6 in the Brera/159 is a completely different engine.

The situation with the 2.0JTS is weird however, because it was never used in the 147 or 166, they kept the 2.0TS. Despite the 2.0TS 147 being made for longer than the 2.0JTS 156/GTV/Spider.
