Hi martin, I want to do the same thing as i have a cd changer to put in the boot. Havn't started the job yet as am a bit chicken with a new car but a mechanic told me that you just put two small screwdrivers in the two holes at top left and right of the unit and pull gently. I am assuming its the same unit as found in the 147??

I did manage to find a very usefull site before I bought the car (1.9 jtd) which showed the complete dash removal with photos but can't find it now! Will keep looking and posted on my progress as well.

Regards
Tony

There is h/u removal tools to do the job without damage/marking - or else 'modify' some coat hangers to release the clips that are holding the h/u in place.
