During a 12k service Gonnella replaced the ECU after error message 'rear hatch open' remained following accident repair. Now engine is sluggish- can barely go beyond 25mph- then rights itself. Or I stop and start over. Garage cleaned EGR when I returned it and charged me, but problem has returned. I am no specialist, just want the car back to pre-service acceleration levels. What do I tell them to do- put the old computer back? I wonder whether the car had been remapped by Kinghams.

Are you sure they replaced the ENGINE ecu?If it had a hatch open problem it would possibly be in the body computer!:)

Thanks for your reply.
For the price of a small service my car runs less well than before. It was the boot lock unit that was replaced. When I took it back I was charged for having the EGR cleaned. I am returning it again next week but was looking for a script. It looks like their main mechanics are back after the break and should be up to better workmanship.
