Hi guys firstly sorry for being lazy but I've just been out its bloody freezing here switched on my heated seats and NOTHING !!!! No light no heat ? Before I start investigating any pointers in the right direction I'm thinking obvious fuse ,after that it's the wiring but not tonight hence the "lazy" post lol.

The seat mounted switch is the usual culprit...low quality items and with no relay protection they are prone to burning out if left on for longer than is necessary.

OEM replacements are around £40 and won't last long either, a better option is to replace with Mazda RX8 items which can be made to fit the existing hole easily and are apparently far more robust electrically.

Of course it could be a fuse, but that would be less exciting to fix :biglaugh:

If you keep your finger depressed on switch does heating come on? If yes then it's the switch playing up. I had same problem and swapped passenger switch for drivers as I rarely have a passenger......oh those lonely drives:weeping:

I would take the advice of a fellow forum user who has two stunning red 147's. Rip the whole lot out and eat a can of beans before the drive instead... much the same effect. :thumbs:

P.s. Mr Edraven71, I no longer need to retrofit heated seats... If it was at all possible.
