I need to replace the DMF & Clutch . Can anyone tell me where to buy the kit at a competitive price ?
Do I need to replace the Slave Cylinder ?
Limited funds so any info re fitment / costs etc would be appreciated .
TIA .

If it's petrol with a concentric slave you'd be daft not to replace. Diesels have a separate external slave on top of the gearbox, so easy to do any time. Expect to pay about ÂŁ190 for a clutch, ÂŁ220 if it's a Cloverleaf or DC JTDM. ÂŁ320 for a DMF if needed. But unless the latter is noticeably sloppy and noisy there's no point replacing a good DMF. Unless it's obviously knackered you can't really be sure until the box and clutch are off.

You'll just have to shop around for best prices, they tend to vary unpredictably. Alfaworkshop are a good benchmark but you may do better. Shop4parts can be cheap, but depends. At one time, pre Brexit, I'd usually find best prices at Mr Auto but no longer and being in France and Germany your bits depend on HM Customs and queues for clearance. Be even more careful with Autodoc and their subsidiaries that sound like the're in UK but ain't. I've had a few parts from them in the past that were slow but very good value, but I've seen too many complaints about non-delivery since B-day :(

Hi Guys ! Thank you very much for your replies .
I should have metioned that the car is a 2010 1.9 Diesel Cloverleaf GT . It`s done 124000 .
The clutch is just starting to judder a bit on take up but the DMF is clearly on its last legs and is getting quite clattery .
MPG has dropped to 27.5 ! which I believe is a consequence of the imbalance of the DMF upsetting the engine management system . Looking around for the replacement kit at a reasonable price . Germany looks cheap , but I`m concerned about Customs , duty and Brexit .
I love these cars they you don`t see styling like that these days , but the repair costs are horrible !
Thanks again for your help .

You are not too far from Autolusso Bournemouth. Welcome to Autolusso Bournemouth. Specialising in all things Alfa throughout Dorset and the surrounding areas

See their clutches page : fixed cost ÂŁ595 incl clutch and VAT, but add (in your case) DMF cost. They might charge a bit more because it's a Cloverleaf and the 170hp clutch itself is more expensive than the 150hp.

I've used them before and consider them absolutely excellent.

I recently had to have mine done elsewhere. A good job, and fast, but ÂŁ900! - including a Cloverleaf clutch and DMF I supplied. Unfortunately my clutch vanished completely (centre torn out) so I couldn't drive anywhere. The transporter cost from London to Bournemouth would have made the whole job no cheaper and much more faff.

Are they happy for you to supply your own parts? Are you happy to pay twice if something goes wrong with those parts? Just this week I had a finger snap off a release bearing on a freshly fitted clutch and I had to pull the box back off again to replace it. I'd just get your garage to supply and fit, for peace of mind.
