Guys,

What does the GSM predisp. actually do, besides adding another €200 to the price of your bella?

I didn't order it, and then had a full car-kit installed.
The company that installed it (in front of my office, perfect service!) had no problem whatsoever with wiring, with connecting the phone-mute, with letting the phone sound go through all 8 speakers, all done within 1,5 hours. I can even adjust phone volume with the remote controls on my steering wheel.

Really, what can the guys that spent another €200,- on the predisp. do more or better than i can do now?? (Or less, cuz i have €200 less on my 'bijtelling' each year wink )

Cheers,

I must confess, I ordered the GSM pre-disposition kit as well thinking that I would install the Nokia car kit I had and then when I thought about where to place the phone cradle inside the Bella without spoiling the lovely views, I dropped the installation idea. So I still have the dual function antenna on the roof and the additional cables behing the stereo, but no intension of using them....

Duh!

Rico, I had the same problem. I didn't want to ****up that beautifull dashboard so I installed an invisible Bluetooth Carkit and use a Bluetooth GSM to talk through it. No hands, no cables :p
One downside is that it's expensive (300 euro) and
that the voice recognition doesnt't work well everytime :(

But still i think the standard system sounds quite OK, especially compared to my last car, a VW Polo. It just needs the right (MANUAL!!) settings in the receiver, and then i can live quite well with it! It could use a little extra power on the lows with high volume though. But that's just an audiophile's opinion (Damn, I want that new Harman Kardon receiver !)

But returning to the GSM predisposition question. It is still totally unclear to me what could be a reason to order this! With or without BOSE...

Not that's it worth EUR 200 :D , but it IS nice ...

I wouldn't be chinese if I didn't have the latest gadgets.
I ordered the gsm predisp as well.
Dunno y?!
I guess, it was a gadget and I wanted it :D
I am thinking of installing the carkit in the armrest.
And in March there will be a new antenna on the market.
Image

Which is a combi antenna as well. Thought it would look  on the roof.
In combination with white side indicators and perhaps some "blinded" windows.

Love it.

That is why I put the source underneath wink
Ivo do you know by any chance (or perhaps Mike) how and where this tinted window can be done?
Is this foil Mike used? Doesn't look like foil, or it is very well done!

On the antenna;
Yep in March around 50 euro's. And three kinds of sharks. Single (radio), double(radio/gsm) and a triple one if I am not mistaking.
