Well that's the Ti gone and I must recommend Veloces if you are selling, got an instant offer over phone and Email, I drove it down from Glasgow this morning, quick bank transfer and I was on my way.

Will be a nice car for someone with the added benefit of dealer preparation and warranty.

Thanks to Paul and his brother for a smooth process.

I recommend them if you're looking for a quick sale of a late model Alfa, describe it truthfully and do a deal, or accept half the amount from webuyanycar.com.

No song and dance at Veloces!

Tear being shed here too. But just too soon for me to buy alas.

Glad deal went well though and be curious to hear your thoughts on its replacement. Take it you flew back??

Catch up soon

No, am on the train right now, free wifi in first class!

...E250 CDI AMG Sport Estate, 7Gtronic on factory order, it was that or a used Maser QP or Range Rover. The latter 2 proved too risky an ownership proposition at the miles I do, plus the QP was a faff to get my race bike in (both wheels had to come off)

I got a good bid on the car from Veloces and they came good on the day with no hassle - they have a huge stock as well

Nice to know they are better at dealing with buying rather than selling!

had a mini horror story buying a 159 lusso 2.4 qtronic from them...

Couldn't comment, I can only say they dealt very well with the purchase.

I suppose buying is a more difficult business!

Wouldn't make too many presumptions on that last bit (aka the last story of the promised oil and filter change etc on a 2.4 JTD that wasn't). And being an independent, what kind of warranty are they going to offer?

I cant answer the last bit, but my old 156 came back to me this year as teh last owner didnt know what to do with it. I sold it to a Scots trader who specialises in Alfa and Fiat Coupes, as he explained, any sort of comeback you get from a dealer is a major bonus point when selling these cars as most buyers are nervous of private sales.

Interestingly looking to make exactly the same switch as you in a few months time.
Going to speak to FGA in a month or so to see what i can negotiate in terms of buying it off them, then offload it and hopefully make enough to cover the 3 months down on the Merc.

I'd be interested to hear what you think of the Merc when you get it:)

Seems to be a little trend here, Alfa to Merc!

A good friend has just chopped his Brera Ii in for a Merc 350CDi Coupe Blue Efficiency thingy... He seems dead chuffed with it.
