thinking of doing all the wishbones at same time as replacing the tired shocks

worth powerflexing the top wishbones? full kit is £300 - which is a bit steep for something which is ultimately my everyday car....

Use genuine upper wishbones. Don't bother with powerflex- the design has no lubricant retention feature, meaning they dry out and make a noise; you'll be removing and greasing them every 3 months... been there, done that, Never Again.

The same experience. A real pain in the ***. Just use genuine upper wishbones, what FoxtrotOscar said.

Powerflex at the back is fine.
