Hi people.I will be going on holiday for 2 weeks and going to leave the car on an outdoor car park.I have just bought a new battery 3 weeks ago so the question is should I disconnect the negative or will it be ok if I don't. Also will the central lock still lock with the battery disconnect? Any advice or suggestions will be great

Many thanks

Tony

It will be fine for a lot longer than two weeks. So leave it alone.

No...! Nothing electric will work with the battery disconnected...

I always lock the car with the key rather than the remote when going away for more than a week , since I have returned in the past to find the battery flat, probably drained by the alarm.

That can be an issue in some airport carparks if the alarm is constantly setoff.
Ok I guess the way to go is lock with the key without the alarm.
