Hello all ..I am trying to replace my glow plugs .. got to the first one but cannot get the plastic cap off the top of the glow plug .. gave it a good pull etc but not budging .... afraid I'll break it.. can anyone advise the correct method to removing the plastic cover ..see pic attached ... thank you in advance !

This is probably not the right way to do it.

But what I do is get a flat head screw driver and put the edge in that little cut out, where your red arrow is pointing, and gently really gently prise the cap off using the cam cover as leverage. Theres a clip/clasp inside the cap which keeps them on the glow plug which is why you can't pull them off, not that I'd want to do that anyhow. So when you put them back on make sure you feel them clip back on the glow plug.
