I placed my order for my new Mito at the end of December and the salesman was really eager to get my deposit and to get the order for my new car placed. (end of month targets no doubt).

Anyways, they told me when I placed the order that the car and spec I wanted was already built so I should have the car in a few weeks. I sold my own car recently as part payment towards my new one as last week I was told I would most likely have the new car this week.

The salesman has kept on saying to me each time I phone to get an up-date on deliver, "i'll call you back, your car is being prepped and should be ready very soon" yet he has never ever called me back and I have never been given an idea of where the car is and when im going to get it.

I use my car quite a bit to travel with work and am really frustrated that they cannot tell me the simple answer of where my car is and when its going to be delivered, their communication with me has been non-existent since I paid my deposit at the end of December and to be honest I am getting sick of the crap service I have received when I am forking out 13,000 on a new car.

Anyone know if there is anything I can do or if there is anyone in Alfa iteself I can contact to try and get an answer on my car? This dealership has been useless so far and at the moment I feel like saying stick your order and i'll go to another Alfa Dealer.

Just remembered you saying it was up at Dutton Foreshaw in Cardiff,and as I've said earlier, look on the Welsh thread, and you will see that Kelven is on there as Foreshawman, perhaps he can help you out here.......:thumbs:

foxwales...did you get it from Dutton Forshaw????

there have been some probs with them recently....service dept wise...if you are not getting anything from them phone ARUK and get them to sort it, thye are really good and have helped me on a few occassions as my babe has had numerous problems...:rolleyes:

Thanks Tess, will keep that in mind for future as their customer service experience has been quite poor so far, but the manager I spoke to today did chase up the status on my car and he did get back to me when he said he would so atleast I do have some form of update now, so thank you to him for doing that for me.

Apparently my car needs to undergo a valet and a quality check, then it will be transported to the dealer for me to collect, so they said it should be any day now. :)

its probably at portbury dock then waiting for the PDI to be done...mine was there for well over two weeks ..but then that was in march last year....i thought they would be quicker now....out of curiosity who was your salesman??:)

I was told that the PDI was signed off, just had to go through a valet and quality check and then it would be transported. So I am hopings its soon.

and then they will PDI it at dealers and valet it...and you give her a good look over when you pick her up cos the valets at duttons are crap...one guys car was scrached by them

Am getting nervous now :eek:

I think if there will be any more problems with my car, I think I will go elsewhere because I am not impressed with the service I have received so far, am starting to regret my decision now to get an alfa, but I do love the Mito.

i love mine too but i wouldnt deal with duttons again...am using a local Fiat garage that specialise in alfas from now on....i have afree service at DF due to all the probs i have had with her...but i dont trust them....will be getting my godson to check her over afterwards to make sure they have done what they should do...

Poor Dealer

1. Tell them to cancel your order with full refund.
2. Phone ARUK - they are keen to know if dealers are not performing.

BTW I couldn't fault mine [Sturgess Leicester]

i would definetely phone ARUK and complain even tho fox has spoken to the manager...he has no loyalty to them after all this messing...he is using the same dealers i use and they are crap

If the car is at Portbury it could be that the recent snow has slowed things down. I always find if a company is messing me about, that a personal visit to them works a lot better than a phone call. It's too easy to fob people off on the phone.

The end of december to today is what, 3 or 4 weeks MAX? I really don't see what the problem is, even pre-built cars can take 4-5 weeks for delivery. The recent snow certainly may have played a part in delaying it as well.

i dont think thats the prob as such...its the lack of communication from the crappy dealers:rolleyes:

Yeah spot on there Tess, it was nothing to do with the wait for the car but I pretty much received no communication after I had placed my order.

As I placed my order end of december, I started to think that thats all they were worried about were meeting their december targets, and now they had my money they didn't really care when the car was ready. Thats the feeling I got anyways.
