Guys

I have been having a look ( on the 159 )to see if I the dasboard computer displays how many anticipated miles you have left with fuel. But I can't find it. The nearest I get is miles to the gallon.

Am i going mad as I can't find it on the menu.

Much love

PB

I think you can only display it in the top portion. Press the top button on the end of the trip computer (wiper) stalk until it appears.

If I remember rightly then it is only available in the Trip A menu on the computer. Scroll though the options by pressing the button on the end of the indicator stalk (it shouldn't matter which way). The only time the range disappears is when you are really low on fuel, which is really helpful, with the display reading -------.

I would check but my car is at the dealer for the week for a collection of rattles and niggles.

You can display any of the values (Range, Distance, Consumption, etc)
on the top or bottom lines on Trip A or B.

Pressing the top of the stalk button scrolls the upper line.
And the botton button, the lower line.

My range works until the beep at about 80 miles then just displays a line of dashes until I run out of petrol:rolleyes:

Yep.
What Nev said.
If you are low on fuel, the range won't display. Try sticking some more fuel in & then you should be able scroll through to "range" on top or bottom display, on trip A or B.
Unless the 159 & Brera computers are different to each other, which I very much doubt.
Matt.

80 miles is nearly 5 gallons in my car (ouch!), so the last few miles are guesswork before filling up.

After a few weeks of getting the car I ran out of fuel on the motorway about half a mile from the petrol station :(

So now I fill up when I think I've got about 20 miles left :D

You get two warnings.

1st Yellow light comes on.

2nd "Limited Cruising Range" message

If you run out of fuel after that........

They aren't exactly different advances of warning!

One is run off the trip computer range as a calculation and the other is run from the sender/tank gauge

After doing about 2200 km in the last couple of days:

Yellow light comes on with about 10 litres left.

"Limited Cruising" comes on with about 5 litres.

;)

(BTW she was returning brim-to-brim 28.4 mpg with an average speed of 90kph,
and mostly between 110 and 137kph on the autoroutes due to rain.)
