Just after a ball park figure from those that have an idea.

2011 1.4ma 170hp giulietta lusso in RossFull history but high mikes at 150k. I will be chucking a belt kit and a full service at it and getting a fresh MOT. Bodywork is pretty much as you would expect for the age with a few car park dings and stone chips except the offside front wing. It’s a bit rippled on the flat part near where it meets the bumper.

compared to our veloce spec this seems to have some extras on it. Auto dimming rear view mirror,auto lights and auto wipers.

I have recently taken it on after it broke down so looking to move on now it’s running again.

what sort of money can I realistically expect to get for it in peoples opinion?

Realistically, probably about £1500-1750 according to Autotrader

Cheers had a look on autotrader and fleabay and prices vary wildly. I was sort of thinking around the £1800 mark so not a million miles off from what you think.

Mine is also a 2011 1.4 MA Lusso which I bought as an ex-demonstrator from Bauer Millet (long departed from AR) and can confirm that the auto dimming mirror, auto wipers and auto lights are all part of the standard Lusso spec. If it helps I have attached a pdf of the 2011 brochure.
Mine is in Magnesio Gris and has 98k miles so hopefully worth a little more but I am not intending changing it yet as I cannot think of a suitable replacement.

yeah yours defo worth more than the one I have got.
Didn’t think the lights,wipers and mirror would be standard kit. So seems like the extras you get with veloce sill trims,half leather seats and parking sensors is funded by removing the bits the lusso has.

I keep saying to my Mrs that she is free to buy another car if she wants to, but she is happy using the G.

It has reached the age where bits are starting to go wrong. Realistically we would be lucky to get 2k for it I would think, so it is probably a good idea just to keep it and run it into the ground or until something big goes wrong. It is still very tidy though ands scrubs up almost as well as it did when I bought it 5 years and 50,000 miles ago.

My mrs is the same I suggested moving hers on but she is happy with it and doesn’t want to change. Touch wood nothing has really gone wrong with hers just routine service type items and an engine mount in 2 years of ownership.
so it is probably in run in to the ground territory.

with the ‘spare’ one I have acquired I have decided I will be flogging to mainly make my money back. It’s a little rough round edges body wise and high on the miles but I feel it would make a good cheap car for a youngish driver

Age related diesel stuff mostly, clogged inlet, I think one of the injectors is starting to go a bit dodgy... I have replaced a lot of the suspension already as well as the clutch, DMF...

Also has lots of wonky bits of trim, although that doesn't stop the car from driving it can be irritating.

I have had to have areas of rust repainted by a specialist paintshop on the leading edge, bottom corner of both front doors and the front edge of both sills where they turn into the wheel arch. Nothing was bigger than a twenty pence piece but it was clearly only going to get worse so I had it done as soon as I found it. While they had it I also had round the hasp for the bonnet latch repainted as it was showing superficial rusting due, I think, to a thin paint coat and no real lacquer as it has never been as glossy as the topside. Again it was preventive treatment as I didn't want, eventually, for the latch to let go at 70 on the motorway.

Ours has lost the paint on the leading edges of the sills (no protection on the paint from stones and grit) but no rust there yet.


I posted up about it a few years back and everyone said there was no problem with theirs.

The bottom of the car looks good, but you can never tell what is occuring beneath the underseal until a hole appears.

The G continues the Alfa tradition of being fairly generous with kit. I think I've only ever seen one car below a Lusso...
