Hi guys,

Im sure Random, Hygrad, Brad, Andy etc will agree that the sound the turbo makes is just AWESOME! :thumbs:

I love when you accelerate hard in 2nd, 3rd or 4th and then take your foot of the gas how the turbo dump valve makes a kind of double "pssst" sound right after one another...

Now I hope the 4C has the turbo spooling, dump valve and a nice roaring exhaust note with some pop and even some funny noices on the over run :wow:

I want a 8C type over run noise on the 4C! I love the sound of the 8C over run! :wow:

HG would like to hear the sound of yours.. Is just the spooling sound affected? Or everything?

To me for a stock standard 1.4l car to have a dump valve with a rather gruff exhaust note is pure bliss...

Still want a Busso though.. But have to have the 4C first.

It was for sale 3 weeks ago, for 345k I think with 14500kms on it, I asked for more pics from a guy named Shaun I think can't remember...I'm still waiting for more pics and info on the ATC mods.

It does have the GTA kit on that was in the catalogue from Autodelta!

If you read my forum you ll understand that what this guy says he has done to his QV is [email protected]@@@. The max you can achieve with ecu tuning - exhaust is around 270hp and that is because the car as stock is working at 1.5 bars overboost which makes it impossible to get much more hp out of it. This engine is almost tuned at full from factory and to get more you need to start changing the insides of it + wilder camshafts + bigger turbo charger etc.

This makes sense, because all that chip tuning does is to change the parameters. Ie max revs, max boost, etc.

An down-pipe allows a turbo to spool up quicker and an exhaust may allow the turbo to pump harder at max revs, which is often a problem with small turbos as they over-spin and disintegrate. Ask how many diesel turbos are being replaced at altitude.

An induction system increase the volume of incoming air which is at pressure, so when the demand is increased there are no waiting for the turbo to first pump.

Small turbos gives a nice linear power delivery, but run out of steam at the top to protect the engine. An example where the Uno Turbo, with a standard pump and a closed waste gate it delivered 1.3 bar at 3000rpm but only 0.5 bar at 6000rpm. The engine breathes more than the turbo can deliver. By going to the next size turbo there where gains through the entire rev-range with 1.5 bar available on the redline. All it took was an different turbo and exhaust to double the kWs. Things are not that different today, controls are often electronic and more accurate but that is about it.

If anything...just do DP and Intake then...make it sound better and spool a little bit quicker.
