Hi All!

Could you help with two issues that have developed on my 2.0 JTDM 170.

Issue 1 - I've replaced the aerial base today, vast improvement in reception but still not good at all. The dealer supplying the part suggested I also investigate all the aerial wiring as they've had issues in the boot area. Does anyone know the route this takes and where to investigate?

Issue 2 - on a cold start the engine is very rough. When it's below 5 degrees or so there's also a slight misfire. This doesn't smooth until the engine has been up to temperature for quite a while. No idea what to investigate here if anyone can make some suggestions.

Thanks!

get the glowplugs checked out concerning the rough running/misfire when cold. these are special glowplugs requiring a stupid low voltage so don't test them by putting 12v on them.

I'll change them to eliminate that as the cause. Any other ideas?
The aerial issue is really irritating!

how many miles on the engine?

check the ground and supply connections for the aerial base. if these are good, I'd try with another headunit. If the problem is still there, change the (presumably) coax cable
