Yeah they are Great

lovely to drive , as fast as 435i and better mpg - i.m getting 35 now

great looking

5 yr warranty and breakdown cover , 3 years service

good spec as standar d

reasonable price - after discount

what;s not to like

Only thing I'd swap it for is a Quad - which is kida irrational as the V is plenty fast for me and I got rid of my M4 as it was too fast for the road . but there;s something alluring about the Quad - that Ferrari inspired engine

what are you comparing with ? what's on your shopping list ?

Had my Veloce since March. Best Alfa I've ever driven, and I've had a Giulietta, GT and 147 prior. Also driven the QV for comparison. The Veloce is the sweet spot in the Giulia range to be honest - best performance for the money. Only thing I'm disappointed by are the wheels. They're just a bit...drab for my liking. In terms of driving, it's seriously amazing - I don't have the performance pack which includes the limited slip diff on the rear, but to be honest I don't miss it or ever imagine needing it. The car drives and handles so well already! I've covered 7500 miles in the space of a couple of months, no beats missed, no issues to report really. It's plenty fast too - like I said it's more performance than you'd ever need on normal roads. I did test drive a QV back in 2016, and it was crazy crazy fast. Not worth the extra money to be honest. In my Veloce, I've also averaged 42mpg thus far. I do about 500-600 miles a week, mix of city and motorway. About to do a long drive from Norfolk to Scotland next week so hoping for 45 or better. Keep in mind, naturally, the more you press the pedal, the lower the economy will be. I see most people getting about 30? I seem to be a rarity, but it is possible to get over claimed :) Hope this helps!

Great stuff. I think it's the only next car for me after the Giulietta Cloverleaf....

Be nice to be back in a big car again!

Pretty much echo what’s been said, it’s a truly wonderful drive, especially in Dynamic mode. I opted for the QV alloys and CF spoiler, definitely feel for me like it adds just that little bit extra on the looks.

It really does turn heads, I’ve had plenty of people ask me about the Giulia when they’ve passed by, in some ways it’s such a shame Alfa aren’t turning the numbers over, then again, it feels just that little bit more special when you hardly see any on the road.

Absolutely brilliant car, better than an S4/340i in my opinion, basic spec is very generous compared to Germans, but for me the real winner is the steering/handling/chassis response, it’s a million miles from any other daily driver on the road and pure heaven to thrash. Individuality and head turning ability is also a major plus. For the money - I don’t think you can buy better!

The veloce is a very, very good car.
It's my 3rd Alfa 4 door saloon (156- 2.0 TS, 159 2.4 JDTM now this) and it's streets ahead in almost every conceivable way:
-Interior is very good indeed. Forget the badmouthers, it's a nice place to sit and a step up from previous Alfas
-Quick, really quick especially fun with the paddles (that are a bit of a work of art)
- Handling wise, I'm not sure there's many cars around that can even come close to this. It's sharp, alive. My only one criticism would be the overly intrusive traction control that kicks in
- Looks, I have lost count of the number of people that comment on this all the time. You'll have to speak to a lot of people you don't know!
- Dare I say reliability? 13,000 miles faultless driving

Bad points
- Don't like the automatic braking thing when it thinks you're going to crash (cuts in from time to time in the twisty winding lanes of S Devon where I live)
- Gear lever thing is still like a 6th former has made it in a project (though not as crap as 159)!
- Sound from exhaust disappoints a little

All said and done, it's a very, very good car and I've driven all the german competitors and the Jag, none come close IMO.

After many years of Bmw,and Mercedes driving I took the leap of faith back in March 2018 and got myself a new Veloce in Misano blue with the yellow calipers and diamond cut wheels. Have never had any of my previous German machines get as much attention from young and old as the Alfa gets and around my way there as rarer than hens teeth. To date have not regretted changing my alliance over to the Italy with 16k now on the clock with only a couple of issues one was the radio button sticking causing it to flatten the battery the other was the fuel flap sticking out wider than my wing mirrors.:blabla::blabla::blabla:

Only had mine 2 weeks. Had a 159 and a 156 previously and a couple of Volvos in the interim. Have to say it's seriously impressive. The test drive just did not do the thing justice. Ride quality is exceptional considering it's riding on 19" with rubber bands for tyres! I'd recommend the leather dash pack, really gives the cabin a nice lift. Engine is very strong. Actually surprised me as the Veloce I tested didn't seem to pull like this one. Once in the powerband it's pretty relentless. Can't wait to get another few hundred miles on it and give it full throttle!

Negatives are - I can't see me getting more than 30 mpg.... oh well who cares!!

I now own an immaculate Giulia Veloce in Stromboli Grey with 5-hole alloys and red brake calipers. Amazed and stunned is an understatement? What a beautiful car!

I've had my Veloce in Misano Blue with Performance Pack, Q2, yellow calipers, horseshoe alloys since January and just tipped over 9k miles in it. I am absolutely loving it. All the positives have pretty much been mentioned above. No squeaks, creaks, rattles. Not had a single problem that I can blame the car for - a truck stoned the windscreen and I collected a partridge while driving (ahem) spiritedly along the A70 past the Harperigg Reservoir on one of my favourite roads - this broke the lower part of the heart grille which is due to be replaced in two weeks.

The short service interval is a bit of a pain and with no local dealer - you can't expect too much in a small village like Greater Manchester - I was surprised that not only do I have the inconvenience of a long trip to get it serviced, they needed almost a month to book it in which is why I'm now just over 9k. I'd called them at 8k...

Loving the car. Decently quick, certainly has made me wonder how much more anyone genuinely needs in a daily driver. It handles a dream. I accept the economy is partly my enjoyment of driving plus a lot of slow commuting on the M60 kills it. It's averaging 33.8mpg. I've had odd runs where it's been close to 40mpg and it seems to get well over 40 on free running motorways in the 50-70mph cruising range but it doesn't show up on a full tank average unless you do all the miles at that speed, obviously.

Everything seems positive on the whole from what I read. Shame they haven't sold more but it keeps it exclusive for likes of us. The Audi ***** can stick to being sheep and stick with their boring Euro-boxes!

Love it but early days with only 1500 on the clock. Alfa red looks brilliant in any lights and sunroof gives it a wonderful black top. Hardly use D in my daily drives but still enough. Leather pack smartens the interior and well worth it but I'm not sure I have really had the opportunity to test the Performance Pack.

This thing just flies, so smooth and graceful and the only car in which people will talk to you at garages or want to have a conversation at the lights! Love it.

I'm not sure if the stop/start is working but it's under AR warranty so guess they could sort it? Perhaps it needs a new battery but not sure if that's covered? I don't miss it but like things to work! Other than that, everything is spot on!
