I have had enough of my GTV and will be getting rid of her she is a non runner at the moment, as needs a new water pump, which i have, but can be bothered to fit

Will be selling by the weekend......

I know i Know i have kind of admitted defeat but i will have it up for sale by the weekend as she needs to go (mainly because it upsets me to look at her every morning)

Seriously though its a very good car and still does run but as soon as water needs pumping shes not up to the task lol.

I do have a new water pump with a metal impeller available:thumbs:

Sorry for the delay

I have been busy with my new born son recently so not been on here but im ready to sell now

The following is a write up that i just did assuming i was to sell the car on ebay or Autotrader etc.

You guys have first dibbs untill i put it on one of the previously mentioned sites..........

I have for auction my GTV V6

The car is currently a “non runner” due to a new water pump needed to be fitted, and i can give you a brand new one with metallic impeller.

Therefore the MOT has just recently expired.

The car does start and run, but overheats when any labouring on the engine occurs which is down to the water pump, however ticks over nicely.

The aircon currently needs re-gassing also.

I recently removed the spoiler as it wasn’t fitted correctly by the previous owner and have filled the holes (as seen in pictures) but can be sold with the car if required.

It has recently had:
New Radiator
New Thermostat
New MAF
New Pipercross Air Filter
Taxed

I’m not trying to make any sort of profit from this sale; I just don’t have the time or money to keep an Alfa Romeo on the road.

I have had a good time owning the car and it has got some serious kick

If you have owned a GTV before you will know!!!

IMO you still have.

A non runner with no MOT in average condition that needs work and it's not even got the Aero pack.


Personally I wouldn't give a monkey for it.

Aye, sorry to say it but +1. I received 3-4 offers of circa 1500 for my GTV which runs perfectly with 6 months tax and 6 months MOT. Good luck...

what year is it? oh and sad to say but well over priced.Plus a prospective buyer only has your word for it that its the water pump.why dont you get the few bits done on it and then you might get closer to the price you want.

Hughes comment may have sounded a bit harsh but it is still over priced I'm afraid. People are paying that for runners.

Well i have put it on eBay starting at £1k no reserve which i think is reasonable to be honest

Fair enough, just prepare yourself to be disappointed as the market is pretty poor at the moment. Mine only reached 1700 on the first auction then 1300 on the next. I spent not far short of 3k on it almost 4 months ago. It's hard to compare with auctions as it's partly luck and partly a reflection of the market but it still shows how hard it can be to get a good sale.

Don't thank me I only just found out myself while trying to sell mine :lol: the market's so bad I decided to keep!

Not worth breaking? If I was you I'd be doing that, especially if you are not in a real rush.

£200 or so for the leather if it's in good nick, bodywork looks all good. Might be worth it
