As I've mentioned in other threads am looking to get the gearbox in my 2000 146 1.4l TS.

I got one delivered which on the face of it should work, but it's different. It'll fit the engine, but nothing will fit to it!
Are there 2 gearbox types floating around for this year?

Anyone know how I can determine the part no on it, and then figure out the part I need to find?

will get it later on today once I have the car back.
The VIN on the licensing cert looks like only the last digits - just want to check ;)

Oh - and it is an ROI car - hope that still works.

Your original gearbox Pt No. was 46756184 which was replaced in the spares cataloge by : 46772850 - TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL UNIT, at £1850 I guess your not buying a new one, but for more info... it has a ratio of 15/59 and this link should help you out.

Thanks Smaky.

I found that site over the weekend and was looking through it. I'm collecting the car today hopefully and will compare the pics with the gearbox the garage got delivered. Am pretty sure it's the one you point out.
BUT - the garage were pretty adamant that the one they have won't fit. So will check into it and let you know ;)
