I'm about to change my gearbox oil on my Spider soon and I believe that the drain and filler plugs don't have washers as I'm used to but require thread sealant. The manual suggests Locitite 510 but it appears to be very expensive. On Loctite's website there is a 577 sealer which seems to be fit for purpose and is much more reasonably priced.

Has anyone used this or have any other suggestions?

I just put mine back in without adding any sealer and it’s fine,as said they are taper thread. I assume the loctite is just a belt and braces type thing.
