I've got a gear selection problem. I have a 156 2.4JTD 10V and today whilst driving I lost 1st, 4th, 5th and reverse. Have only just got in so havn't had time to take a look.
Anybody had this issue??

Could be the housing that the ball at the base of the gearstick sits in is cracked

I checked that and except for a bit of foam that had fallen into the socket it was fine. I now believe that the gear selector mechanism at the gearbox is at fault. :thumbs:

Whilst replacing the selector mechanism I've somehow managed to get the gearbox jammed in 2nd or 4th.

Any ideas guys.
