Hello new week new problem.
Nothing major YET but I noticed a leak from what I think is the clutch or the gear box housing it is on a 2l 156 99. If the wheels are locked to the left you can see the aluminum casing behind the wheel on the passenger side. It is dripping very slowly from the outer part. You can see where it’s clean. The clutch has been done lately I am just worried that I am loosing more oil when im moving so i dont know how much has been lost.. is it possible to check or top up oil levels in the gear box. or can any one shed light on cause or solution to this problem.
as usuall all help is greatly appriciated...

Re: gear oil ?

The fill/level plug is on the front of the gearbox next to the reversing light switch.

The oil should be a GL5 spec synthetic 75W90

Re: gear oil ?

thanks

just fill as far as it will go ???
When it starts flowing out of the hole, that means it is full...!

The car must obviously be level when you do this.
