Continuing to gradually sort out my old garage,( prior to warden controlled accommodation :D ) I was rummaging around in one of the boxes of 'junk' and found this object. Do you know in spite of having used it a couple of years ago, I had trouble initially recognising it! Then it suddenly came to me what it was.

When I first got the UNO turbo years ago I soon became exasperated trying to screw back the rear disc brake piston calipers with snipe nosed pliers and right angled circlip pliers, so made this out of an old socket and some scrap pieces of metal.

It worked quite well on not just the UNO, but subsequently it was fine for the HPE, the Thema turbo 16v, and finally I think I used it on the 147? Don't you just love the comparative bits and bobs with Italian cars which make life that much easier? I don't think Halfrauds did the appropriate tool back in '89 was it?...anyway I was as ever skint during that period!
