Ive got mine with nationwide, theyre really helpful and you get your own handler. Id rather pay 20 quid more for a good service and (hopefully) a reliable company. Make sure you read and reread the terms and conditions!

We'd always recommend you take this out. OK, dealers will always be that bit more expensive, we can't beat online or broker prices, but it's always worth asking as we can discount the price.

I'd compare the online policies you've found with the dealers, and check the T&C's of both. But talk to your dealer, we're here to help. ;)

ty budgen, i have compared 2 online sites and they are identical lol

for some reason my dealer NEVER told me about it tho, but i will call them on Monday and find out how much its worth. hopefully they would give me discount or be similar in price as i would rather go with alfa than anyone else.

Seriously mate, the GAP insurance should you need it will be in discussion with your insurers, not your dealer. There's absolutely zero need to buy GAP insurance from your dealer. You wouldn't buy car insurance from them, so why buy this? Look for exactly what you want from your insurance, not what they're selling you, and then search for the best deal. That's how it works.

The abyss the thing is with insurance companys they will not give you what the car worth. And with the gap insurance if your car is stolen or right off they will give u the outstanding figure.
Er - that's the whole point. But don't buy GAP from a dealer, buy it from a broker or from a proper insurer.

Believe me, if you buy GAP from a dealer and crash your car, the last place to help you will be your dealer. It will all be a discussion between the car insurer and the GAP insurer.

If your dealer sold milk and it was 20% more expensive, would you buy milk from your dealer too?
