Hi all,

on my Alfa 156, engine 1.9 JTDm 16V, problems with fuel pressure appear.

Suddenly when drive, engine stop with OBD-code:

P0192 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Input
or
P0193 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input

When i clear error i can start engine and drive. Sometime it happens again after 100 m, and sometime after 50 km.
When idle, and when drive, everything is ok. Also i try to move electricity cables and connectors when idle, to check if maybe poor connection is on cables.
I also check connection on fuel pump relay.

My car is from 2004. year and have 103.000 km.

Maybe someone have experience what can it be. What is usual to fail?

Fuel pressure sensor?
Fuel pressure valve on high pressure pump?
High pressure pump?

Is it possible something to stuck? Once when engine stop, i read 1.400 bar pressure in rail and after 5 minutes that pressure drop, and than i was able to start engine.

Thanks in advance.

Yesterday engine stop again...with error P0192.

Fuel pressure was about 1.400 bar, and the current at fuel pressure regulator was about 60mA.

I think that sensor read wrong pressure value and send wrong information to ECU. Regulator didnt stuck coz small current mean low pressure.

I think the problem is solved.

I disconnect module for extra power, "Rapid", from fuel pressure sensor and car is ok now.

Probably that module start doin problems after 6 years of use.
