So as far as I can see there is no serviceable fuel filter on our cars? Seems unusual, anyone put an inline filter into the system?

The filter is part of the fuel pump inside the tank.

So no there isn't a serviceable filter and no need to fit another one either.

Not unusual at all.

Shouldn't need cleaning. It is supposed to self clean, unless vast quantities of dirt have been placed in the tank.

Have known these to be fine past 250,000 miles without servicing so I really wouldn't worry.

Do you think yours is blocked?

In-tank unserviceable fuel filters have been common for over 13-years, long before your 147 was built.

If for some reason you need to change the pump (which contains the filter) you don't take the tank out anyway, you just open the access panel under the rear seat and unbolt the pump from the top of the tank. But the chances of you needing to do that are very unlikely.

ah yer thats not too bad then, depends I normally find a fair amount of crap in inline filters, why would this be any different? would be nice to freshen it up.
