hey everybody,

Today when i drive home from work i see mu fuel comsumption meter went so high up my screen. i was driving in 3rth gear an i see my fuel consumption went from 6l/100km to 50L/100! when i press the gas just a little bit. this can not be normal. I never saw this went so high up. Anyone know what the problem can be? i drive a 159 jtdm from 2008 and in have only 80.000km. Sorry for my poor english, i'm from belgium.

I would guess this is because your engine, or rather the DMF, is going through a regen. The process when extra fuel is dumped into the diesel particulate and burned to burn off the soot. It happened every tank of fuel for me when I owned the same car.
