ok, so here goes, i press the button on the dash & i can hear the cap "pop", but it doesn't unlock, so putting petrol in my car is a two person job, my wife presses the button whilst i'm at the cap pulling it open, any ideas on how to solve this??

inside the boot on the right there is a pull cord for the flap release

Is it because it's -5 etc or is the wee spring that flips it out needing bended.Just guessing re the spring but there must be something.

Happened to me during the first 6 months of ownership.

I just greased up the release part of the flap - must have just got lucky because she's been fine ever since

EDIT: Re-reading back that sounds a wee bit rude but I hope you understand what I mean

ok, i've not noticed a spring in there! i'll check it again when its daylight, & not snowing!
