+1 very rare they need to be cut. They are very tight and need a good drift to get them out. If your changing the pads anyway give a good soak with oil first. They will come out.

Just going by what the fitters are saying guys :(

Should have taken it to Gus but needed them doing asap .... going to regret that now I think

One comment made by the fitters was a pin bent trying to extract them... getting a bit worried

Bent three of mine before they came out. Tried heat, tried freezing tried mole grips but good punch and brut force did it in the end. Bent three of the pins though and pads seized solid as well. That was the tell tale that all was not well; brakes were getting weak and pulling to the left.
