A couple of weeks or so ago the remote I had been using regularly failed to lock the car, so I figured battery ( it's not been changed since I've owned the car ). I put it away in the drawer at home to change when I got the chance.

Have been using the other remote up until Thursday, when it too failed to lock the car. By chance I got the other one out and it locked the car first time :ermm:

Has anyone else experienced this and does it point to intermittent battery failure or something else ?

If it turns out the battery is ok, it could also be the remote aerial. But since changing the battery takes about a minute and a half I recommend you try that first.
