Hi all

Been a happy camper Alfa owner until recently. On very rare occasions (and intermittently) at low revs the Alfa will hesitate really badly on acceleration. Drop it down a gear and boot it and its fine. It is generally very torquey and pulls at low revs through all the gears which was what attracted me to the car in the first place.

It's clear that the turbo isn't kicking in when it should be at times.

It is a 2.4 JTD 2002.

Any ideas or solutions from similar experience woud be appreciated.

No warning lights on whatsover - not had it code read. Will have a go at cleaning MAF and EGR I think after reading yours and others posts on the matter

Seems a few people have had this problem but there isn't a simple solution and can be a multitude of of likely culprits!

Will post with progress - thanks for response

try disconnecting the MAF...cleaning it won't help it it's already on its way...
that's the "proper" DIY method to test if it's the reason for rough acceleration
of course you can always clean it after that :)
and while you're there, throw in a new air filter if you haven't recenlty ;)
