disconnect negative terminals first and reconnect last, get a decent battery euro car parts are quite good pricewise, you also need to make sure you get one that has the same dimensions as the one you currently have...

Battery all changed,£50 bosch with 4 year warrenty and all I can say is OMG. It feels like a different car. for the last week or 2 of use I have thought to myself it felt a little off colour so to speak but now it pulls like a train all over the place. Now either in the week or 2 without use I have forgotten how she goes or infact the failing battery did have and effect on performance..

another thing i just noticed is that the windows drop futher now when opening the doors..:confused:

Can I just jump start the car with jump leads from the works van or not???
It is not recomended to start any alfa with the 3.2 engine with jump leads as they suffer from ECU spikes :( As for you windows it has probably reset to some factory orginal distance
