So I finally bought my first Alfa - a 2011 Giulietta 1.4MA, following a long line of VWs (with a single Ford in there somewhere - because we all have to make mistakes).

Have to say that it was hard seeing my Mk5 Golf go, it's been an awesome car, but I'm am head over heels with the Giulietta. Owned it for just under a week now and it's getting better and better. I was lucky enough, in my mind(!), to find a sunroof version in Alfa Red - so I'm really pleased.

And yes, I'm still giggling like a five year old every time I pop it into Dynamic mode and make turbo noises. mwuhahahaha

Happy boy and looking forward to some fun days with an awesome car :)

Thanks :) Seem to be increasing my list of jobs I want to do it nightly at the moment (mainly cosmetic stuff at the moment). Need to keep my thumbs away from eBay :D

Welcome from another ex VeeDubber , the people on here are really knowledgable and helpful, which made buying my first Alfa (166) less stressful - see humongous thread under 166.......all the best -Jim.

Cheers Jim 🙂 I'll have a read some time, thanks! I pretty much fell across Giuliettas through the Autotrader app - based on spec, a need for three seat belts in the back and performance. Such a lovely car though! My first car was a 66 bug (out of Uni) then went through Golf mkii gti (didn't own that one, sadly), Polo, Passat tdi, then finally Golf mk5. Odd mot having a vee dub, happy boy though so far!

I had the 1.4ma and the 1.75 QV both really nice cars but imo the 1.4 actually sounded better!

Good choice, enjoy!

I was really tempted by the Cloverleaf, but in reality I suspect it would have cost a lot more to run (parts, servicing, insurance) and I get frustrated enough with the "40mph is a proper speed on every single road in the country" brigade as it is 😄 But thanks, awesome car 🙂

Cheers Dan 🙂 Fairly sure I used to use Adrian Flux for my bug back in 97 😄 Blast from the past 🙂
