Hi everyone,

I had some spare time today so thought I would do a lottle test to see if fillers really make that much of a difference as I havent been able to get them to do anything near what I wanted, ( excuse the condition of the paint, its the work horse)

Split the front wing into 3 sections, poorboys black hole, AG srp ( old edition) and AS Mirror image, each product was applied to there section and left for the same amount of time, all applied with a foam applicator and buffed off with ome microfibre each,

Before:

After:

And then the tape was removed,

Yes the fillers did make it look good but if you moved your head around you can still see them in certian light but I still dont get a result near what other people get

Thanks for reading

The product I've found with the most fillers is Autobrite Extreme Glaze. Problem is that once you add a wax it can sometimes remove the fillers due to the solvents the wax contains, so you're back to square one.

This was just a quick test but will be following up with a more in depth one very soon

Great write up. Be interested to see the longevity of them.

I test products and write reviews for Auto Finesse and post in detailingworld.com and sometimes on here.

Last month was testing their 'Ultra Glaze' which is a filler. Was very good at filling light swirls and seemed to last well when sealed in with a wax. See the Photos below.

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT my car, the paint work is in very bad shape (car was a Kalos).

Good write up dan, unfortunately the car this was in has now gone so can see the longevity of the fillers but am trying to get hold of some more fillers to do a more in depth test with what happens when its covered over and does the top wax bond as well
